Feeding schedule

The Feeding schedule page shows the feed plan for every horse in the selected stable(s), with the feed each horse receives at each feeding today and tomorrow.

What's on this page

  • Filter: Opens the filter dialog where you can narrow horses by category, group, gender, age, feed type, etc. A badge shows the number of active filters.
  • Search: Search input at the top right (placeholder "Search by Name, UELN or Chipnr…") to find a horse by name, UELN or chip number.
  • Feeding times: Row above the horse list shows each feeding name and its time. Use the left‑ and right‑arrow icons to scroll when more feedings exist.
  • Horse rows: Each row displays the horse name, usage badges, stable name (if more than one stable) or a temporary location label, and box number when applicable. Inactive horses show an Inactive label.
  • Feed cell: Shows the Feed type, Quantity (with the unit), and a warning icon if the feed type has a warning. When a feed will change today or tomorrow the cell has an amber background and a small Changes today or Changes tomorrow label.
  • Add new feed: Tap an empty feed cell (or the plus icon) to open the feed form, or press Add new feed in the floating window.
  • Edit / Remove feed: Tap a cell that already contains a feed to open a floating window. Use the Edit (pencil) button to modify the feed or the Remove (trash) button to delete it.

Common tasks

Add a new feed

  1. Tap an empty feed cell for the horse and feeding you want to change. A floating window appears.
  2. In the floating window press Add new feed.
  3. Fill Feed type, Quantity, Start (and optional End) and tap Save.

Edit an existing feed

  1. Tap a cell that already shows a feed.
  2. In the floating window press Edit.
  3. Adjust the fields and tap Save.

Remove a feed

  1. Tap the feed cell.
  2. Press Remove (trash icon) in the floating window.
  3. Confirm removal in the confirmation dialog.

Good to know

  • Only horses with an assigned stable are shown by default; applying any filter or using search loads all horses, including those without a stable.
  • Feedings and feed types are defined in Settings and cannot be changed here.
  • An amber background with the Changes today or Changes tomorrow label indicates a feed that starts changing today or tomorrow.
  • You need the manage feed permission to see the plus icon and to use Add new feed, Edit, and Remove.

Edit feed

Add or edit a feed entry for a horse’s feed schedule.

Feed type

  • Choose a feed type from the list. Disabled feed types are shown with (Disabled) and can only be selected when editing an existing entry.

Quantity

  • Enter the amount. The unit (e.g., kg) appears after the field based on the chosen feed type.

Start

  • Pick the first day the feed applies. It defaults to today and is required.

End

  • Optional final day. Leave empty to keep the feed active indefinitely.

After saving

  • The feed is created or updated in the horse’s feed schedule and shows up in the feed planning view.
